Since forming last year, the group of talented teens that make up Northern Horizon have taken the North East by storm and are now set to celebrate the release of their second EP with a hometown headline show at O2 Academy 2 in Newcastle.

Taking influences from the likes of Green Day, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low, the five-piece are bringing the pop-punk scene back to life and have already shared the stage with successful acts, such as, A Jokers Rage, Masamune and Bad Pollyanna. With Northern Horizon already banging on the doors of academy venues with just over a year in the making, these young punks have broken away from the community centres with a purpose to continue their story.

They’ll be joined on their second headline show at the O2 by a trio of acts including fellow Geordies Street Party in Soho. Having gained recognition with their critically acclaimed debut single Take Your Time in 2012 which also featured on the TV show Made in Chelsea, the band have gone on to support King Charles on his 2014 UK tour.

Manchester alt-rockers Autumn Ruin will also be bringing their heavy sounds and debut single Forward (Till the End) to This,’ with Whitley Bay solo-act Euan Lynn’s low-fi garage punk masked with 90s video game nostalgia completing the line-up.

Northern Horizon, Street Party in Soho, Autumn Ruin and Euan Lynn will all play at Newcastle’s O2 Academy on Sunday 5th April.
