“Diane, 11:30 a.m., February Twenty-fourth. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W. C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia.”

Screenage Kicks is back and, this time, the owls are not what they seem. The gang will be bringing forth a weekend brimming with ethereal entertainment this month as part of the annual Screen Demons North- East Horror Festival – and what better way to evoke a sense of terror than a fully immersive screening of David Lynch’s notoriously wonky series Twin Peaks?

Set to be held at a mystery location in Newcastle (but hopefully somewhere a little more accessible than the Black Lodge), the first season will be shown in all its spooky glory across two evenings, with eight episodes aired across Friday 19th and Saturday 20th May. The event coincides with the mysterious release of the third season (due to be aired on Sunday 21st May), an event eagerly awaited by fans for over 26 long years.

As ever, the screenings will consist of themed food and drinks, decor, and actors, aiming to bring the show’s pivotal scenes to life before the eyes and ears of the audience. Fancy dress is actively encouraged, and there’s even an after-party disco scheduled for those of you who want to get a little bit weird well into the night.

It’s a weekend not to be missed – some might say that’s enough to make you want to get on your bike and go.
