Over the years Newcastle based promoters Jumpin’ Hot Club have brought the cream of the country music scene to the North-East and that hasn’t changed with their latest offering at Cluny 2 on Saturday 15th June. Sam Morrow brings a gritty sustenance to his music, evocative of a threadbare soul, decades his elder. He has been compared to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Earl Scrubs, John Fogerty and has cemented his place as a member of Los Angele’s Country elite.

His latest album, Concrete and Mud is rooted in Texas Twang, southern stomp and old-school funky-tonk and sees him at his energetic peak both recorded and a live artist. It demonstrates his strength as a songwriter, frontman and bandleader and will see him be talked about in the same breath as other West Coast heavyweights such as Sam Outlaw, Jade Jackson and his friend and label mate Jaime Wyatt who contributed his vocal to three tracks on the album.

Tickets are £12.50 ADV and can be purchased via Jumpin’ Hot Club’s website.
