Finding the time and head space to work on new projects can be a difficult process for musicians. The trials and tribulations of ordinary life often get in the way of creative ventures, so Sage Gateshead’s Summer Studios residencies will be a godsend for those looking to explore their practice.

Taking place between 3rd-16th August, Summer Studios not only offers dedicated rehearsal and recording facilities to artists for a week, but also provides resources and one-to-one sessions with industry insiders and experts, from record company execs to music lawyers and PR and marketing, enabling musicians to work on their stage presence, learn how to approach promoters and press, write funding bids and broaden their songwriting horizons. Professional photoshoots and a live video session are also included.

Open to all genres and backgrounds, previous residents have included Talk Like Tigers, Big Joanie, Ross Millard (The Futureheads), Frankie & The Heartstrings, Martha Hill, Hayley McKay and John Pope.

Register your interest via the website by Friday 27th March.
