There’s a fair chance that a lot of people in America are feeling pretty cynical right now, but Stockton’s ARC offers up the chance to share an evening in the company of one of the original comedy curmudgeons, as top comic Rich Hall heads to ARC on Friday 18th and Tuesday 29th November. Though the 18th has now sold out, the second added show is one which should see a clamour for the last few tickets.
The lovable grouch was the inspiration behind Matt Groening’s character Moe Szyslak from The Simpsons, and is a welcome face on our television screens regularly on shows like Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI, Channel 4’s Comedy Gala and bags more besides. Immensely witty, this comic showcases a quite brilliant, and always unique take on the world, and these two shows, given where America is at right now, could offer up some fascinatingly funny straight-talking. His sharp scorn knows no bounds, so Rich Hall will definitely be there to provide a bit of something different to the pre-Christmas, overly joyful build-up.
