“Life is waiting for you. Hang on in there if you can. Life is always worth it.”

Based on the frank and funny bestseller by Matt HaHaig’s uplifting story of living and loving better after the world comes crashing down ig, the innovative stage adaptation of Reasons To Stay Alive is preparing to make its mark on the UK as it sets out on a ground-breaking debut tour, which takes in Newcastle’s Northern Stage from Tuesday 15th-Saturday 19th October.

Inspiring minds such as Stephen Fry and Michael Palin to praise the book, Haig’s uplifting story of living and loving better after the world comes crashing down is more than a memoir. His short snippets of wisdom and real-world sense leave you wondering how you can make your most of time on earth.

Re-imagined for the stage by Jonathan Watkins, this experimental adaptation promises to be bursting with music and movement in an emotional, funny and joyous celebration of everything that draws us close when we feel like falling apart. Haig himself says; “It’s wonderful to see a book take on other life forms, especially a form as exciting and radically different as this one. I think this production will provide a fascinating way to look at depression and mental health.”

So get ready to consider – what does it mean to feel truly alive?
