The Old Police House has another eclectic line-up of music marvels through its doors on Saturday 10th September, as the Gateshead venue welcomes Rattle and more.
Rattle are heavily drum focused, with overlay of harmonies and percussive effects. Formed by Katharine Eira Brown (also of Kogumaza) and Theresa Wrigley (also of Fists), Rattle began as an experiment in crafting rich songs and melody using drums and voice alone. With elements of post punk and experimental rock within their off-kilter rhythms, there’s something rare and unique within their fascinating sounds. Mondo Sadists provide a bit of quirky lounge jazz to proceedings too, while Competition is the wonderfully interesting new pop project from Craig Pollard of Good Food Tapes and Rice Milk.
