Darlington-based actress Jade Byrne will be doing a live online performance of her acclaimed, one-woman stage Pricks, followed by a Q&A, on Thursday 11th June (during Diabetes Awareness Week). It will be performed to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – the world’s largest, charitable fundraiser of Type 1 Diabetes research whose aim is to eradicate type 1 diabetes and its effects for everyone in the UK.

Pricks is a medical play about Type 1 Diabetes, that sees Jade tell a warm, engaging and uplifting story about learning to care for others better that has been performed at venues around the UK and received rave reviews. at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The online version will have slight differences due to logistical reasons but the content will be the same as the stage version. 

The performance begins at 8pm and donations to the JDRF can be made via Jade’s Facebook and Twitter whilst she is performing. Then at 9pm the live Q&A takes place via the JDRF YouTube channel and Facebook page.
