It’s somewhat fitting that Pop Recs, who itself started life as a pop up shop two years ago, should play host to a guerrilla market filled with homemade goodies. The community organisation-come-record store-come-gig venue houses the Stitch and Bitch group (the Mackem and Tap’em branch to be precise) and are hosting one of the group’s first outings into the retail world.

Stitch and Bitch offer the opportunity for anybody who fancies a tinker with sewing projects or wanting to learn a new craft to get involved with art and textiles. Set in a cosy environment filled with friendly people and a lot of coffee, it’s a place where anyone is welcome to, well, stitch and bitch!

In their sale on Saturday 25th April, the group will be selling a variety of imaginative and unique handmade crafts made both by local artists and enthusiastic amateurs. True to the group’s roots as a sewing and crochet club, there will also be a stall dedicated to pre-loved clothing, shoes and jewellery all ready to find a new home and be loved again. Let’s get ready to jumble!

Pop Recs, Sunderland will host Mackem and Tap’em’s pop up shop on Saturday 25th April.
