You must have been good boys and girls this year, because Hartlepool promoter Brian Barnes has two awesome gigs lined up for the festive period, one under his acoustic folk moniker PinDrop and another in his guise as psych promotions outfit Lost In The Woods.

The first seasonal special takes place at The Fishermans Arms on Saturday 5th December, and features Escuchando Elefantes who head to the North East from Spain, bringing upbeat vibes and stonking tunes. The boy/girl duo have earned their chops from busking across Europe, honing superb vocal skills, deceptively simple melodies and powerful and passionate songs. They’ll be ably assisted by support act The Rebekah Findlay Trio whose folky tunes will set the scene perfectly.

Over at The Studio on Saturday 12th December, you’re invited to get Lost In The Festive Woods (see what they did there?) with a psych-filled noise fest featuring space rock legends Here & Now (pictured), whose cutting edge alt. psych rock will be a joyful boon to Christmas dirge-weary ears. Electro-psych folk locals Silver Trees will provide supporting merriment alongside electro-tinged alt. rockers Weird Shapes, Northallerton space rockers The Alice Syndrome and electro whizz Pixelate plus Lost In The Woods DJs, visuals and various other Chrimbo-related shenanigans.
