DIY arts organisation Dovetail Joints and Middlesbrough’s most avant-garde venue Disgraceland have teamed up to bring you Picasso Baby, a weeklong event that combines art, community and good old fashioned fun. It’s curated by artists Bobby Benjamin and John James Perangie and brings together an array of Teesside artists from all disciplines to take over the venue and make it their own, leading to a final celebratory party.

Next week, between Monday 18th – Thursday 21st November, a team of local artists and musicians will be changing Disgraceland into a permanent Teesside masterpiece and are inviting you to be involved. Regardless of your artistic experience, you are encouraged to show up with your artwork, paint, or whatever materials you use to make art, and contribute to the makeover.

Then on Friday 22nd November, the doors will be opened for you to see the masterpiece the venue has become and a big party will be thrown in its honour. There will be live performances from Teesside rappers Shakk and Eyeconic, electro-wizards, Lore and the fabulous Factory Reset.

So what are you waiting for? Go grab your paintbrush and PAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRTY!!!
