Alt/prog-rock act Phase celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album, In Consequence with the release of a two-CD version of the album and an in-store performance to celebrate at HMV Newcastle. The band whom originally formed in the city of Larissa and are influenced by the likes of The Tea Party and Alice In Chains and have been influenced by the likes of David Bowie and Depeche Mode. They have performed around the UK and even Syria, only the second international rock act, after the Gorillaz, ever to play there.

In Consequence was released after the successful debut single, Perdition which would later be released under Microsoft’s ‘Playlist Seven’ campaign that launched Windows 7. Despite a low-budget release, the album managed to gain listeners organically and would eventually propel the band to cult underground status.

Fast forward ten years later and the band say they are stronger and more productive than ever and are determined to set things right for In Consequence, with a proper release that will do the album, and the love that has been put in it, justice.

Their performance takes place on Wednesday 18th September at 5.30pm and although the CD’s won’t be sold prior to that, they will be available for pre-order for their international fans through www.phase.org.uk
