Penance Stare is all set to release a brand new album on Monday 9th April. Teasing with new track You Have Wronged Me which features all the moody ambience and atmospheric sounds crafted on the preceding EP, with an inward, introspective feel to the dark music on show.

Penance Stare is the project of sole member ELN. With a background in punk bands, this new venture has its feet firmly planted in thick walls of guitar noise and metal influences, with droney sounds beneath blurry vocals. As ELN explains “You Have Wronged Me is, like much of the record, about trauma, vengeance, and redemption, told through the metaphor of the revenant. As a survivor of abuse, it can be easy to feel ghostlike, as if we have survived a death but remain, walking amongst the living.

Scrying will be released on digital platforms and limited edition black cassette on Monday 9th April in partnership with Luxury Bucket recordings.
