A collection of music, poetry, comedy and whatever else people fancy entertaining with is on its way to George Street Social in Newcastle on Sunday 21st August, as they host an open mic night in aid of The Road To Recovery Trust.
It’s all happening from 4pm, and all for a charity who aims to support addicts into recovery through abstinence based 12 step recovery programmes – providing practical and pastoral support to those looking to escape addiction of any kind. It’s all taking place at a perfect new venture too, as George Street Social is the ideal venue, situated just near Newcastle College Rye Hill campus. Open to any performer, the open mic night sees all welcome to perform, so creatives with something to offer should snap up this chance to perform at what will surely be a wonderfully warm event (performers can email firstname.lastname@example.org if they’re interested in taking part). With free entry and refreshments available too, this drug and alcohol free space is open to under 18s, with under 14s able to gain entry when accompanied by an adult. This supportive evening should be a great way to see some incredible performers honing their craft and supports such a worthy charity.
