For those that don’t know, before Martha there was ONSIND – featuring Daniel and Nathan from Martha. From the same stable of DIY indie, their blend of acoustic punk is more in the vane of Billy Bragg, while songs such as Heterosexuality Is A Construct and Suicide Is Painful mark them out as an entirely different beast to their parent band.

This, an all-ages show and their first gig in a year, at their spiritual home, Durham’s Empty Shop on Friday 6th May is sure to be a sell-out.

2013’s Anaesthesiology, with its singles Pokemon City Limits and Dissatisfactions, is still fresh and ballsy, while the prospect of some new material and an electric atmosphere mark this as a must see for fans of the duo and those that like their pop angsty and their punk politically savvy.

Support comes from Two White Cranes (Roxy from Martha label mates Joanna Gruesome’s solo project) and Try The Pie (the solo work from a member of San Jose’s Sourpatch).

ONSIND, Try The Pie and Two White Cranes play Durham’s Empty Shop on Friday 6th May.
