North Shields recording studio Notes Studios has now celebrated a year of helping scored of children and people from deprived backgrounds access music, through its landmark revolutionary music program.

The studio, formerly known as the Gasworks, last year launched ACCESS MUSIC CIC in a determined bid to reconnect people with writing, producing and enjoying music in the community. The brainchild of North East musicians Martin O’Nions and Phil Martin – has earned high praise by supporters and funders North Tyneside Council as well as the local community in response to its efforts.

A bespoke program that seeks to make music available to everyone, the venture seeks to make sure there is a lasting legacy of musicians, bands, singers and more all playing live in the area, and finding the resources to make the most of it.
