Having held two successful Northern Exposure nights last year, the production and promotion duo Tunnel Club are returning with more events to promote live dance music in the region.

First up on Saturday 3rd March, they take up residency in Newcastle’s own DIY hub Little Buildings for a line-up which includes them join the free-form minimal techno of Buhl/Daughters (members of another pillar of Newcastle’s electronic music circuit, Kaneda Records) and newcomer Boss Level, who blends sounds and imagery from nineties gaming and house music with more current trends in electro and IDM.

The night also marks the launch of a new Northern Exposure compilation EP, which features tracks from all three of the acts playing Little Buildings as well as selections from witch house auteur Ako and the hotly tipped future trap producer Xaatu.

As well as all this, there’s also another Northern Exposure night in the works at Independent in Sunderland on Saturday 21st April, featuring Ako, Tunnel Club and Cass Lamb, marking the first Northern Exposure event in Sunderland. With more releases and events in the pipeline for later in the year, Northern Exposure looks likely to tap into a bigger scene in 2018.
