It’s not long now until our series of summer gigs at Wylam Brewery‘s Palace of Arts in Newcastle’s Exhibition Park.

The building has been given a loving make-over, keeping some of its beautiful Art Deco features, and will be the new home for the brewery, where they’ll offer regular Brewery Tap events, lots of live music and our very own NARC. In The Park summer concerts!

We’re pulling together eclectic line-ups featuring some of the best North East talent around. Kicking things off in funky style on Saturday 4th June will be a headline slot from Northern funk behemoths Smoove & Turrell, plus the alt. indie rock joy of Street Party In Soho, luscious synth pop from Fractions and electronic collective Grey Tapes.

On Saturday 23rd July we’ve got an eclectic range of melodic indie and quirky electronics to whet your whistle, including headliners The Lake Poets, alt. pop band The Great Curve, quirk-pop multi-instrumentalist The Shooting Of and the horror-fuelled loop folk of Nathalie Stern. Plus there’s more to be announced for August, put Saturday 20th in your diary!

The events will be all day affairs, with specially selected NARC. DJs spinning the tunes between the acts – DJ Mariam Rezaei is first up in June, with Endless Window’s Mark Corcoran-Lettice taking on July’s duties – there’s street food and lots of Wylam-curated booze on offer too. Given the venue’s lovely location, it’s a prime opportunity to make a day of it!

Tickets cost £5 and are available here.
