NARC. Fest takes place at a multitude of venues across the Ouseburn Valley on Saturday 2nd July. The free festival is the musical arm of the annual community Ouseburn Festival, which celebrates creativity and culture in the Valley.

Today’s stage focus comes courtesy of Ernest.

Mick Rolfe’s Moon Rocks Live present an eclectic line-up of musicians and a DJ set that’ll go into the early hours at Ernest.

Grey Tapes are a collective of beat makers and producers, providing Newcastle’s music scene with something a little different and very much all of their own. Callum Pitt’s sound is a dreamy, folk-influenced take on classic pop/rock songwriting with some lovely melodic falsetto flourishes. Haythem’s percussive slap-fingerpicking via a loop pedal instrumental songs will leave an audience captivated. Finally, continuing the party until 2am, our good friend and Heartstrings frontman Frankie Francis will be playing all kinds of sounds (with actual records, none of this laptop nonsense!) to keep people dancing ‘til the early hours! Ask him nicely and he may even play Come on Eileen!
