Reliably informed

Possibly the most boisterous, emphatic duo to emerge from the UK, alternative emo and punk duo Nai Harvest are making an exhilarating return to the music scene after a well-earned absence.

Sheffield troublemakers Ben Thompson and Lew Currie first barrelled onto the scene in 2011 with their debut EP Split, which captured the hearts of alternative rock fans, building a solid fan base for the release of their brilliantly scrappy, youth rendering 2013 album release Whatever. Thompson and Currie manage to wistfully connect with their audience using thorough and concise lyricism, with nary a cliché or over-the-top head-bang in sight. There’s no denying Nai Harvest’s love of a heavy sound, although 2015’s Hairball saw a mellowing of style somewhat, replete with a bubblegum 90’s grunge persona.

Nai Harvest have never been a pair to follow the rules or the crowd, and with recent support dates for the likes of surf pop dreamboats Jaws, they’re on an upwards rise once again. With a nationwide tour kicking off this month, they’ll be hitting up Newcastle’s beloved quirky venue Think Tank? on Sunday 27th March alongside post-punk Brighton boys Abattoir Blues as support. It promises to be a night of raucous, raving, neck-breaking goodness.
