One of the North East’s little gems of a festival has just announced its headliners for this year’s show. Mouth Of The Tyne Festival is set to welcome multi award-winning alternative rockers Elbow and singer-songwriters Tom Odell and Laura Marling. All three are set to play in the picturesque Tynemouth Priory and Castle overlooking the North Sea and River Tyne at the festival which runs from Thursday 6th until Sunday 9th July.
Elbow’s appearance on Thursday 6th July is one that will be highly anticipated, their grandiose alternative rock has several tracks ingrained in many of us now, so it’ll be interesting to see where they are taking their sound next. Folksy songstress Laura Marling is another name who is enough to draw anyone in, beguilingly beautiful music, the coastal festival seems the perfect backdrop for her rustic sounds. Throw in English singer-songwriter Tom Odell and the Brit Award and Ivor Novello Award winner rounds out a trio of worthy headliners. North Tyneside is in for something incredible this summer, with lots more acts still to be announced.
