After a successful festival tour and sell-out shows at Live Theatre in 2014 Mixtape are back with their sketches which, due to popular demand, will now take place in the Main Theatre. On Friday 20th March there will be a 1950s inspired edition of Mixtape, Rock ‘n’ Roll Jukebox. This edition will feature songs by Rock ‘n’ Roll bands and solo artists from Elvis and The Everly Brothers to Buddy Holly.

Mixtape make bite-sized plays inspired by music. Part theatre show and part pop quiz, they use song lyrics to create short theatre sketches that can be no longer than the tracks that inspired them. The performers can only use the lyrics from the songs and although they can be reordered no additional words can be used. The audience are invited to play along and if they manage to correctly guess the songs, bands or artists that inspired each short sketch they have the chance of winning the coveted Golden Mixtape.

Mixtape combines music and theatre with a touch of traditional pub quiz that guarantees an energetic and interesting night for both the performers and audience members.
