Russian noise punks Mirrored Lips will be heading to Newcastle’s Trillians on Monday 21st May for a free show, and it’ll be somewhat of a homecoming for the all-girl power trio. The band recorded their summer 2017 released EP at Gateshead’s The Sound Room, so where better to kick off a second UK tour that culminates in a performance at London’s Raw Power festival?

The language may be Russian, but their free-form improvised post-punk makes them a compelling and engaging live act to all. Newcastle’s The Noise & The Naïve will be providing ear-splitting support, the guitar and drums duo make for an incredibly breathtaking act who’ll no doubt be performing tracks from their November 2017 debut EP entitled, um, Debut EP! Last but by no means least on the bill are Girlhogg. Another duo, they’re the brainchild of the frighteningly talented Zoe Murtagh, best known for her one-woman theatrical productions Sacre Blue and The Lamppost Petition. Performing their own unique brand of electro punk, they are popping up on bills all over the North East and are highly worthy of your time.
