What could be better than bringing together a host of the region’s finest acts to perform in aid of charity? I’ll let you ponder that one. The answer is probably nothing. The brainchild of Generator’s Michelle Lloyd and Amazing Radio’s Tom Cotton, the Mind All Dayer taking place at The Cluny on Saturday 18th April aims to raise money for the 3000 challenge, which includes a 24 hour trek across 50km of the most challenging and unforgiving countryside in the UK, as well as the 15 highest mountains in Wales.

A wonderful handful of local acts have agreed to take part in the event. Headlining the event are The Lake Poets (returning briefly from his residency in Nashville), alongside Brilliant Mind, Tissue Culture, High Tide 15:47 and Coquin Migale. All proceeds from the gig are going to Mind, the charity that aims to help anyone suffering from mental health issues.

The Mind All Dayer at The Cluny, Newcastle, takes place on Saturday 18th April. Tickets for the event are now on sale.

You can find out more information on the challenge and reasons behind it at Michelle Lloyd’s Virgin Money Giving page.
