Reliably informed

The pomade-drenched, May-to-December DJ tagteam of Rob Heron and Stagger Lee have had quite a year, as their respective Soul Finger and Jumpin’ With Stagger Lee nights have got busier and more lively (plus it’s a rare weekend when one or both of them won’t be holed up in one of the city’s more discerning bars blasting out tunes). Having been frustrated by a lack of appealing N.Y.E. options in  previous years, the dastardly duo decided to team up with the lovely folks down at Cobalt Studios in Ouseburn to bring you Midnite Train, their biggest party yet.

They’ve invited along some regular collaborators like Jelly Jels (Bad Taste Cru/Galactic Boogie) and Giovanni Spatuzzi (Fuzzy Warbles) to craft a musical blend that’ll cover everything from Northern Soul to rhythm and blues, latin to funk, rocksteady to rockabilly and all points in between.  Plus there’ll be all the usual confetti-splattered shenanigans you’d expect from any New Year’s Eve Party worth the name.

Doors open at 10pm and the party will run to 3am. Tickets are available here for £5 but some are being held back for the door on the night.
