Meghann Clancy has been working hard for the past year on creating her new album, which she will be releasing in three chapters across the year, with the first of these arriving in July. The first three songs from Lost & Found are to be released throughout the month focusing on, inevitably, the themes of loss and longing. Seeking to show the diversity of the album as a whole, Clancy tackles subjects such as the innocence of young love on In Time, vulnerability and regret on the brooding, piano-driven Hunt My Heart, and tackles the Syrian refugee crisis from an unexpected viewpoint with Life Jacket.

With all songs composed by Clancy, she’s brought on board a number of experienced collaborators to pull the music together, including Roy Dodds (Fairground Attraction) and Simon Edwards (Billy Bragg, Talk Talk) on bass.

Chapter One: Lost, is a wonderful example of the variety found at the gloomier end of the spectrum before the second taster for the album Chapter Two: Found is released in September. Also made up of three tracks, but this time with opposite themes of positivity, triumph and joy. The full album, featuring all six tracks, plus an additional five previously unheard songs, will be released in late November 2017.
