Two years on from debut album Get Over It, Mechanical Mouse Organ are gearing up to launch their new three-track EP. Released on Revenge Western Records, All The Love (Nobody Wants) is the first in succession of EPs to come from the Newcastle rock band.

With a musical heritage stretching back to their days in early nineties band Hug, the quartet’s new release pulls influence from the likes of Dinosaur Jr and Dr Robert, whilst retaining their own style of rock.

Packing a deeper emotional punch than their debut, the EP showcases an amalgamation of rock styles supported by fervent lyrics. Kicking off with the rambunctious title track, All The Love (Nobody Wants) is not too dissimilar to something you’d hear from Twin Atlantic as it serves up energetic, rugged basslines that crash around vocalist Darryl’s desperate plea for love.

Where Are You Now brings it down a notch with mellow verses sandwiching bursts of a raucous chorus, whilst Get Out Of My Head offers a poppier, fast-paced delight that nods towards influences such as Hendrix and The Raconteurs.

With All The Love (Nobody Wants) available from 2nd March, the band will celebrate the launch with a gig at The Cluny on Saturday 3rd March with support from The Smoking Coconuts and The Band for Disease Control And Prevention.
