Brexit. To say it’s all been a bit of a shambles would be a gargantuan understatement. Thinking about it all, you might be much more inclined to cry than laugh (if you’re not fatigued with the whole fiasco). But if there’s any comedian qualified to bring out the chuckles from the messy divorce with the EU then it’s Matt Forde. Not only is he the face of Unspun and host of the Rock ’N’ Roll Football Show, he’s also go political chops as former advisor to the Labour Party and debater with the likes of Nigel Farage and Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Matt’s giving his last show as an EU citizen (barring any last-minute referendums) at Darlington Hippodrome on Tuesday 19th February, and it’s set to be a highly entertaining pro-Remain romp, not just focusing on the split but on other touchstones of contemporary British politics. Thanks to his unique insight into Westminster, Forde is able to dig even deeper into the issues he raises, giving his punchlines and impressions even more bite (he’s said to do an uncanny version of Tony Blair). Yes, Brexit’s a shambles and, as undoubtedly talented as he is, Matt doesn’t have all the answers, but he’s certainly got the ability to make you see the funny side of it all.
