Sunderland’s The Corner Flag is playing host to a brand new night of rock bands, DJ sets, quizzes and “rocktails” this month, aptly named Rated R Rocknight. Sunderland boys Masamune are set to hit the stage on Thursday 12th February, playing music from their upcoming EP Tension and Resolution. The band’s newly released music video for Run and Hide showcases their toe-tapping bass line. Add lead singer Neil Anthony’s unexpected yet pleasing vocals and it makes for a great combination.

Introducing a bit of variety to the night is Gateshead alt-rock trio Warning! whose sound is both quirky and bold, bringing a mix of accented vocals and a beat that you’ve never quite heard before. As they put it themselves: “Three boys. Much noise.”

Toning down the noisy night with some acoustic solo rocking is Sunderland’s Peter Carmody. His soothing and rhythmic style is the perfect soothing sound to relax and enjoy a “rocktail” to.

Masamune, Warning! and Peter Carmody all play Rated R at The Corner Flag, Sunderland on Thursday 12th February.
