Since his rise to fame on Channel 4’s Friday Night Live in 1988 and Saturday Zoo in 1993, Mark Thomas has proven himself one of the most astute political commentators around. An activist as much as a stand-up, he’s spoken at numerous left wing demos and played pranks on countless politicians on The Mark Thomas Comedy Product alongside his career as a comedian.

Several stand-up tours, TV and radio appearances and an impressive array of awards later, Thomas brings his sell-out 2015 Edinburgh Fringe show Trespass to Barnard Castle’s Witham Arts Centre on Saturday 16th and Newcastle’s Northern Stage on Thursday 21st April. It’s a show that promises a meticulous dissection of political events both historical and current, as astute as ever and with his trademark sense of a call to arms. The events he discusses are things we should have opinions on, should be outraged by and should join him in doing something about. Likely to sell out as rapidly as it did at the Fringe, this is a show not to be missed.
