Scottish artist and performer Malcy Duff will introduce visual tales by The Block Of Milk at The Old Police House’s new home at Alphabetti Theatre on Thursday 4th July. At a recent show in Glasgow The Block Of Milk reminisced about where they came from, and put to bed some urban legends that have been spread about other blocks of milk. So far, so impenetrable…

Duff has been performing ‘live comics’ since 2010, and was the recipient of a Donald Dewar Award in 2008 for outstanding work in the comic book form. He has produced over 60 comics, and his work has been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies, including MAP, The Wire, Product and Art Review. He’s also been exhibited internationally in both solo and group shows and he performs and records in the duo Usurper. Thanks to this lofty heritage we’re to assume some trust that The Block of Milk will regale audiences with a suitably interesting show, whatever form that may take.

The evening will also feature performance from Wax Magnetic, the ‘unfortunate pairing’ of tape and vinyl, noisy surreal sounds from Sara Ohm and Blind Tape Quartets.
