Hartlepool four-piece Lost State Of Dance follow up their synth-pop Marina EP with a more up-tempo, high intensity offering. Dance Floor comes complete with fantastic screeching guitar solos, Casio keys and analogue sound production that wouldn’t seem out of place soundtracking an early nineties American TV show.

Content wise, the band say the songs have a smidge of “heartbreak with desperation”, something that comes out in lead vocalist Dan’s pleading vocals as he sings about dance and desire. The EP is retro, stylised and crammed with the energy and charm of a Vice City discotheque, painting a picture of high flying individuals in baggy, sky blue suits and tight black cocktail dresses pulling up in open top sports cars whilst camera shots pan in catching their smiles.

To promote the release the band will be playing Music Lounge in Stockton on Saturday 4th June and a hometown show at The Causeway, Hartlepool on Sunday 5th June.
