Hats off to hosts, and local gatekeepers of psych, Silver Trees who return with their first North East show since Glastonbury’s The Gathering in July. Taking the PR opportunity with both hands, the band have curated arguably the most eclectic line-up yet for the tenth episode of Lost In The Woods, which also happens to celebrate the promotional outfit’s fifth anniversary, at Stockton’s Green Room on Friday 7th December.

Warped Freqs open the evening with their inimitable and unpredictable experimenting; ideal for fans of noise and drone as well as their own Soiled and Marcus H alter-egos. Also playing are Newcastle’s genre-bending quintet Behold A Pale Horse, who bring their mix of Krautrock, neo-folk, dance and garage for the most discernible of ears. The Lost In The Woods DJ Collective and some suitably trippy projections and lights will provide the ambience between the bands, ensuring the full psychedelic experience before Silver Trees wrap things up in their unique experimental space-rock style. The band have previously been described as “dream-pop medicine for the soul, a fractal part of something greater”, so after their recent Avon pilgrimage, and with a tease of new music coming soon on their socials, expect a night of joyous discordance.
