Mr Shindig’s Comedy Store is presenting a very special comedy night on Tuesday 28th June, as LOL for Lollipop comes to the Hancock pub, with the hilarious night of comedy raising funds for Radio Lollipop Newcastle.

Radio Lollipop is a charity that provides play, comfort, care and entertainment to children in hospitals, and the awesome cause has roped in some of the best stand-up comics the North East has to offer. There’s the brilliantly silly (and regular TV face) Ben Crompton, BBC New Comedy Award 2014 winner Lost Voice Guy, comedy and impressions double-act The Mimic Men featuring local favourites Cal Halbert and Alfie Joey, the utterly engaging and unique Nicola Mantalios-Lovett, immensely watchable newcomer Matthew Lewis Miller, the sharp and bright mind of John Whale and the charming and witty Si Beckwith. It’s all held together by regular host Joby Mageean, who’ll bring his usual warmth and energy and beautifully crafted hilarity to proceedings. There aren’t going to be many better line-ups than this anywhere, and it’s all in aid of such a good cause. Mr Shindig’s has done it again, in bringing the very best in comedy shenanigans.
