Two of Darlington’s best-loved music nights go head to head on Sunday 15th December for an end of year bash to celebrate the town’s music scene. Llovers Presents… takes place every Thursday and is programmed and DJed by David Macnab from Teeside’s dream-pop merchants… yes you guessed it, Llovers. It features some of the finest live acts coming up through the ranks of the local music scene and is the best place in town to go for your indie-rock disco fix. They’ll be facing off against Sunday’s music extravaganza Soapbox Sessions a weekly open mic night with guest headliners, hosted by our very own David Saunders.

The event sees both stages battle it out with live music and producing a line up that sees only gig-lovers triumphing. In the Soapbox Sessions corner, there is ethereal singer-songwriter Jodie Nicholson, ferocious rapper Shakk, alt-country outfit the Jamie Farrell Experience and closing the night is homegrown garage rockers Petals.

In the Llovers Presents… corner we have Teesside’s indie-rockers Whale Hill, tender-psych act Sonder Minds, special guests Circus Villains (who have reformed especially) and finishing off the event is lo-fi art/punk-rockers Mouses.

Tickets are only £4 and available from the Hole In The Wall or online. Oh, and LET’S GET READY TO RUUUUUUUUUMBLE!
