Endless Window bring another quality line-up to Tyneside on Saturday 17th December with Leeds-based Living Body hitting up Jumpin’ Jacks along with three other bands that are also definitely worthy your attention.
Living Body is the brainchild of Chicago’s Jeff T. Smith (ex-Juffage) who, now ensconced in Leeds, has brought together long time collaborators Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Wild Beasts, Sleater Kinney) and Tom Evans (Vessels) for a new adventure off the back of their acclaimed Sonic Cauldron concert in 2013.
Their first album, Body Is Working. drops on 2nd December and if first single Choose is anything to go by, anyone clued up enough to go to this show (and if you’re reading this; consider yourself well and truly clued) will be rocked by layers of intelligent guitar pop with a lustrous, almost blinding shine. A band fascinated with the notion of music bringing joy into the lives of others and seeking to mould the pop song into a uniquely imaginative and immediate form, this is a gig not to be missed.
Support comes from Glasgow’s purveyors of dream pop Life Model, surreal quiet/loud dynamic lo-fi from local upstarts Japanese TV Club and electronic ‘industrial ambient freakout’ goodness from Sunderland’s Chlorine.
