Living Body have already made an impression on the north-east with shows at Jumpin’ Jacks and Pop Recs amongst others, but the brilliant Leeds group return on Sunday 10th September for a special show at Cluny 2.

Led by Chicagoan important Jeff T. Smith, Living Body’s sound is hard to pin down but still highly identifiable: blending post-rock, folk, electronic textures and much more into a fascinating mix of sound – the band might describe themselves as ‘post-Brexitcore’, but tying any tag to them (even a made-up one) is a fruitless task.

Joined by studio collaborators like Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Sleater-Kinney, Wild Beasts and others) and Tom Evans (Vessels), the band’s flexible line-up has also featured Sarah Statham (Esper Scout) and current lynchpin of the live band Alice Rowan (Mayshe Mayshe.) With Smith having undertaken extensive tours of America and the UK this year both solo and with full band line-ups, this Cluny show is currently their final booked show of the year, so don’t miss out on this unique band.

Living Body play Cluny 2, Newcastle on Sunday 10th September.
