While summer may seem but a distant memory now, for those in attendance at the outdoor shows at Times Square in Newcastle, and those who missed out, it’s time to get excited for summer again. The mammoth shows really made an impression, and the fantastic news just announced is that they’ll be returning in 2017, with shows in July and August and some incredible headliners.

Announced to play is ever popular singer-songwriter Jake Bugg, set to play the headline spot on Thursday 27th July. These shows are sure to sell quick again, so there’ll be a real clamour for tickets, especially with indie legends James set to play Saturday 29th July and following on from critical acclaim and phenomenal demand FAC 51 The Haçienda and Manchester Camerata – the city’s experimental orchestra – are bringing back Haçienda Classical next year, with a brand new soundtrack in what will be their first Newcastle appearance on Friday 4th August. With more bands and dates still to be announced and tickets on sale now, the atmosphere and awesome crowds of this year’s shows are already something to look forward to again.

Jake Bugg plays Times Square, Newcastle on Thursday 27th July, with James on Saturday 29th July and Haçienda Classical on Friday 4th August.
