Local heroes Little Comets embark on an extensive UK tour to tie in with the release of a live recording of their debut album, In Search Of Elusive Little Comets, which drops into Newcastle’s Boiler Shop on Friday 15th November. The latest iteration of their maiden LP comes straight from Liverpool’s Motor Museum recording studio, and promises a modern take on the tracks which kick started their careers.

Their debut album has endured as a real favourite, and did much to shape the region’s musical landscape when it dropped in 2011. Lead singles Joanna, One Night In October and Adultery remain firm favourites with the North East’s former scene kids. Having initially toured those singles ten years ago, the band have built an impressive back catalogue in the subsequent years, with their oeuvre displaying a band their playful best.

It’s encouraging that new single 3 Minute Faltz has retained much of the charm and wit that gave the band their big break, and this latest run of shows promises to be an exciting romp down memory lane for their long-standing fans, as well as a chance for the next generation to enjoy a classic album for the first time.
