In an exhilarating first for the picturesque Northumberland coastline, this September will see the award-winning beauty of Beal Farm invigorated with a plethora of massive acts as the inaugural Lindisfarne Festival takes flight from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th September. With stunning views of Holy Island and an equally as impressive line-up, this is two days of entertainment you simply cannot afford to miss.

Friday evening’s headline acts are sure to set the site alight with dancing feet: led by critically acclaimed found-sound masters Public Service Broadcasting, the bill will also include DJ sets from the likes of the legendary Craig Charles (hopefully armed with his trunk of funk) and tongue-in-cheek superstar DJ Yoda.

As for the rest of the weekend, Lindisfarne promises to deliver nothing less than a multitude of danceable indie-pop hits, mellow tunes and even a few home grown classics, as acts such as Sunderland’s very own Frankie & the Heartstrings, fellow retro Northern pioneers Hyde & Beast and the hauntingly beautiful Lake Poets. Soulful rising stars The Skints, the amazing talents of Nadine Shah and local soul smoothies Smooth & Turrell will each have their turn to take the stage by storm before final headliners Reverend & the Makers return to deliver a crisp bout of indie pop.

But that’s not all the fresh-faced festival has to offer. In addition to some of the biggest names in live music today, the uniquely stirring festival site will also play host to a variety of alternative entertainment, including a silent disco, poetry, local cuisine and even a glimpse into the ancient mystique of Tibetan Monks and monastic dance.

From the grand air of its wonderfully comely surroundings to its diverse range of live acts, entertainment and experiences, the very first Lindisfarne Festival is set to be an unforgettable one, with something for everyone.

Lindisfarne Festival takes place at Beal Farm, Northumberland from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th September.
