Taking your first tentative steps into a career in the music, film, TV or tech industries can be very tough. For some 18-24 year olds, Generator are here to help, launching the second round of creative enterprise programme Ladders.
With so many young people not gaining the career advice that could be so crucial to working in the creative and digital sectors, Generator aims to begin bridging the gap between education and employment, pairing talented young people with creative and digital employers. Young people will be offered opportunities to work and develop and shown how to implement newly found and honed skills in the work place. There are three eight-week course to choose from, Film and TV, Music and Software Development. Sessions also include regular visits from guest speakers and local businesses, along with company visits and venue tours, to highlight the plethora of potential future workplaces.
With enterprise as much the focus as employment, getting together everything you need to get out there and working in these sectors will all be spotlighted. Spaces are free but limited, and the next cohort begins on Monday 6th February. Whether you fancy it, or know someone that might, you can drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
