Reliably informed

It’s always nice to be able to celebrate our region’s immersive and eclectic music scene on a wider scale, to see it recognised outside of the North East and feel lucky that we got to see it first. Kylver are the latest band to benefit from that, with a nomination at 2016’s Progressive Music Awards, in the Limelight category, which takes place on Thursday 1st September.

The Limelight award seeks to give credit to the rising prog stars that have all been featured in the new band Limelight feature over the past 12 months in Prog Magazine, and Kylver, while up against some tough competition, with a lot of support could well win. The quartet are an immensely innovative band, with rocking instrumental work, and elements of doom and post-rock mixed in for fascinating results. So give Kylver a vote, and help them do the North East proud.
