Celebrating 12 successful years of club promotion this month, Shine Like Stars, based at Ku Bar in Stockton, are having something of a do. The club night has welcomed a host of stars over the years, with their stages being graced by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Friendly Fires, Circa Waves, Wolf Alice, Carl Barat and many more, proving they have their fingers firmly on the pulse when it comes to spotting massively successful new acts.

Not to be outdone this year, they’re welcoming a host of top bands to Ku Bar this month. Young upstarts The Bulletproof Bomb head to Stockton on Friday 16th fresh from a Reading and Leeds Festival slot; Teesside’s epic post rockers Abel Raise The Cain raise the roof on Friday 23rd, with support from Hull post-punkers La Bete Blooms and a rare acoustic performance from Goy Boy McIlroy; certain to be a busy affair, indie rock royalty Cast play the venue on Sunday 25th as part of their massive UK tour; while highly regarded psychedelic sextet Neon Waltz also play a special show on Thursday 29th October. Seems like Ku is the place to be this October!
