Reliably informed

Fusing the moody and epic nature of Echo and the Bunnymen with sweeping anthemic riffs and dark undertones, Keep Breathing have taken alt-rock, indie and post punk and put it all in a magic blender to create dynamic, cinematic music captures audiences’ attention with its intensity at their live shows. Think Tank are bringing them down on Saturday 31st January as part of a triple bill of intense, atmospheric rock.

Last summer the band began recording with producer Ed Buller – the man behind LPs by Suede, Pulp and Spiritualized – and brought their tunes to masses by touring with Palma Violets, Temples, PEACE and cult icons The Fall. Expect them to air some new material and to fill the room with widescreen power.

Joining them on the bill are Manchester’s Man Made, led by Nile Marr (son of Johnny from that little-known band The Smiths). They’ve found themselves playing with Jake Bugg, Broken Social Scene and Bright Eyes in the past and are known for putting on an epic live show. Rounding off the bill is abrasive rock duo Gallery Circus; hailing from South Tyneside (via Chicago), Daniel and Graeme Ross evoke the noise of Slaves, Drenge and Royal Blood and shattered ear drums last year with their single Supercell. It’s gonna get a bit noisy…

Keep Breathing are at Newcastle’s Think Tank on Saturday 31st January.
