Having racked up nearly 50 releases since their inception in 2015, Newcastle’s management company and label Kaleidoscope are celebrating their birthday with the launch of a vinyl compilation album featuring some of their favourite tracks.

Set up in 2015 by members of Newcastle-based band SHIELDS, the label has worked with national and international artists and become a real hub for the music community from their base in the Ouseburn Valley.

“The label started out purely as a means to release our own music but then we started receiving demos from local and national artists, some of which we thought were so good that we couldn’t resist working with them.” Says label founder Luke Elgie. “Four years on, we are just as excited about showcasing these artists as we ever were about playing our own music! Hopefully this vinyl will be volume number 1, with many more to come as we reach other milestones.”

Featured on the album will be tracks by SHIELDS, Callum Pitt, Fever Days and more, with other tracks selected by fans of the artists on the roster. Keep an eye on their social media channels for polls and opportunities to vote for your favourite tracks.

The Kaleidoscope Label Sampler Vol 1 is available to pre-order now, with the album released just in time for Christmas.
