Five years ago I was lucky enough to go to the Jumpin’ Hot Jamboree mini-festival at a beautiful location on the coast at Easington. Sadly, because of access issues, it proved to be the last one. But I couldn’t be happier to announce that it’s back. Now restyled The Country Cantina (in keeping with subsequent one day events), the Jumpin’ Hot crew are back at The Barn on Thorpe Lea East Farm on Saturday 27th July and have crammed a lot of good things into one day.

There’s Cajun from Joli Blon, the usual wondrousness from Martin Stephenson (here accompanied by The Toerags), a solo set from Rob Heron, the reliably excellent Strange Blue Dreams, Jumpin’ Hot mainstay Gem Andrews plus The Jaywalkers, Awkward Family Portraits, David Broad, Big Red & The Grinners and a one-off, 78rpm record set from Rob Heron and Shippy. Stagger Lee will be providing some tunes between the acts, and there’s food from La Fiesta, beer from Hadrian Border and a bar chockfull of cocktails and spirits. The limited site camping is full but check the Jumpin’ Hot website for details of other campsites and accommodation in the area, because you don’t want to miss this.
