With new single Care Less, Love Less just released on Endearment Records, it’s exciting times ahead for James Leonard Hewitson. There’s a celebration for the new single at Head Of Steam, Newcastle on Saturday 23rd July, with a long set with a full band, and a chance to hear the new track live.

With a rich musical history behind him, Hewitson currently counts as a member of Kingsley Chapman & The Murder, and occasional trumpeter for Frankie and The Heartstrings. This is all his own thing though, and the passion really shines through. A real 60s mellow pop vibe, with shimmering, jangling guitars, and vocals that swoon in the most subtly compelling way has made his new release a real stand-out, and one that’s well worthy of repeated plays. He’s joined by Shamu and Sågaboi who’ll provide a nice mix to the bill, making it an evening filled with sumptuous songs and majestic musicians.
