There’s a ridiculously good bill set for Thursday 13th April at Cluny 2, as James Leonard Hewitson brings as show with a full band as part of his very first headline tour.
Hewitson’s smart, witty and dreamy pop sounds have been winning him a lot of acclaim of late, with his output consistently strong and intelligent, he’s been a musician to keep an eye out for, for a while. The support acts too are well worth making sure you’re there nice and early as Kieran Rafferty opens the show. His piano driven, heartfelt, earnest and quirky melody driven sounds have just the right sprinkling of melancholy that his heart-on-the-sleeve music is an ideal start to the show from this underrated talent.
Then it’s on to Sågaboi and some experimental, hip-hop influenced sounds that’ll pull the night in another direction altogether, but one we’ll all be happy to follow. Then Mongeese add to the already eclectic bill, embodying a thirst for genre-defying music, their captivating soundscapes draw on a range of influences. It’s all closed on a high with James Leonard Hewitson and his warm blend of Psychedelic pop. For a measly three quid, it’s a delightful way to start the long Easter Weekend.
