You there! Stop phubbing and playing with Snapchat filters and pay attention! Scottish comedian Iain Stirling is bringing his brand new stand up show Onwards to the Gala Theatre on Monday 27th February and he’s got a few things to say about twentysomethings. You see, Iain’s a bit concerned about how people perceive his generation and how they function within today’s society. Are they really all self-entitled people who can’t stop posting selfies on Instagram? Maybe he should just Google the answer.
As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also a bit worried about his personal direction in life, how fit he is, the fact that his mates are all settling down, where his career is going… Well, at least for that one he probably doesn’t have to worry too much. Onwards has gained sterling (sorry) reviews and even had a sold out run at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, thanks to it being filled to the brim with witty one-liners and smart, witty observations on contemporary life. If you only know Iain Stirling as the cheeky narrator of Love Island, then prepare to be very pleasantly surprised.
