Progression is an important part of every band’s journey into carving out a career in music. It takes hard work and a lot of persistence to get there and some are able to crack the professionalism bit easily; Humanism is one of those bands. In their three years as a band they have released two full length albums and become a staple of the local music scene, playing a heady combo of alternative, ambient melodies that are every bit as euphoric as they are catchy. After a successful headline slot at last years’ Evo Emerging, they released second album Porcelain Soul, a slick mixture of big ambient rock tunes made for the more sizable of venues.

The band hit the O2 Academy on Saturday 6th June with support from rising young indie popsters Street Party In Soho and electronic, dubstep, grime, rap and everything urban producer Absorb, whose had some decent attention from Radio 1xtra for his fiery beats.

Humanism, Street Party In Soho and Absorb play O2 Academy, Newcastle on Saturday 6th June.
